How to order tile samples

See colour and finish in your own light before you commit — how Trident samples work, what they cost, and how they ship.

Screens never show tile colour perfectly. A physical sample lets you check tone, texture and finish in the room you are tiling — next to your paint, worktops and lighting.

Order a sample from a product page

  • Open the tile you are interested in
  • If sampling is available, click Order Sample — the price is shown on the button
  • The sample is added to your basket like any other item
  • You can mix samples with full tile orders, or checkout samples on their own

What you receive

Samples are the same range, material and finish as the full product — a single piece so you can judge the look in person. Lighting and screen settings still matter, which is why we recommend checking the sample in the actual room before ordering boxes.

If the sample button is missing

The Order Sample button only appears when a sample is set up and available for that product. Out-of-stock lines may not offer a sample. Use the back-in-stock alert on the product page, or contact us for alternatives.

Sample-only baskets are charged delivery at checkout. The £400 free UK delivery offer applies to qualifying tile orders — see our delivery FAQ for details.
